HEYO
I'd like to share some information about oily skin (my type of skin), speak about treatment of it in general and name some products that might eventually help. I just want to say that having oily skin is very stressful and often makes me upset and I just hate touching my face. It just looks nasty, as if your face sweats constantly. Additionally, if you have bangs, your hair might get all greasy because of your face (thank god I don't have bangs).
So if you're dealing with the same problem, let me help you haha :-)
- First of all you should not touch your face throughout the day
because your hands get dirty and you don't want those germs on your face, girl.
- Don't squeeze them pimples!!
But if you have the need to, make sure your hands/fingers are clean and your nails are short.
- Clean your face every day (e.g. washing gels).
- Exfoliate/use facial scrubs 1-2 times a week! DON'T USE TOO OFTEN!
- Use moisturizing creams!
Even if you think that your face is moisturized because it is oily, it's not! If you don't apply moisturizer, your skin will send signals to your pores that there is not enough moisture so that your pores will produce EVEN MORE sebum than it actually does!
- Try not to use too much make up. Use BB-Creams instead.
(e.g. if you're going grocery shopping - don't put any make up on, go natural!)
- When you use make up:
- Apply a mattifying foundation base which is made for oily skin
and leaves your face matte and flawless :)
- Use oil- and perfume-free foundation with a matte finish (if not mentioned, read the ingredients)
- Use powder!
- Eat healthy. Eat lots of fruit and vegetables.
Avocados are very good for your skin. Don't eat fast food or too many snacks (they will leave pimples on your skin)!
- DRINK A LOT OF WATER (no soda)!
- If your skin gets awfully oily during school,
go to the bathroom and clean your face with a tissue.
